Springs carry the entire weight of the door and are the single most dangerous component to work on. They are also the most commonly mis-sized part in cheap repairs. We measure wire size, inside diameter and length, then install a matched set and rebalance the door.

Why replace both springs when only one broke?

Springs wear at the same rate. Replacing one leaves an unbalanced door and the second spring usually fails within months.

Can I replace a spring myself?

We strongly advise against it. A wound torsion spring stores enough energy to cause serious injury.
